How to reduce the wear and tear of excavator parts? Mar 29, 2023

Excavator parts belong to special industry equipment parts, which require special equipment for processing and manufacturing to operate with high efficiency and high quality, such as CNC plasma cutting machine, bevel edge milling machine, plate rolling machine, welding positioner, boring machine, casting ( Forging) equipment, heat treatment equipment, etc. Excavator parts will wear out after a long time of use, so how to reduce wear? Let's take a look together below.

1.Prevent corrosion of parts

Corrosion acts on excavator parts, sometimes it is easy to be ignored, and it is more harmful.Rainwater and chemical substances in the air penetrate into the interior of the machine through the pipes and gaps of the mechanical parts, corroding the parts. If the corroded parts continue to work, it will accelerate the wear of the excavator and increase the mechanical failure. Operators are required to adopt reasonable construction arrangements based on local weather conditions and site conditions at that time to minimize the harm of chemical corrosion to mechanical parts.

2.Keep working under the rated load

The nature and size of the excavator's working load have an important impact on the loss of mechanical parts. The wear of general excavator parts will increase with the increase of load. When excavator parts are subjected to loads higher than the designed working loads, their wear will increase. Under the same conditions, the stable load has less wear on the parts than the high-frequency dynamic load, less failure and longer service life.

3.Keep parts at a reasonable temperature

In work, the temperature of each parts has its own normal range. Too high or too low temperature will affect the strength of parts, so it is necessary to cooperate with coolant and lubricating oil to control the temperature of some parts so that they can work within a reasonable temperature range.

4.Clean in time to reduce the influence of mechanical impurities

Mechanical impurities usually refer to dust, soil and other substances, as well as certain metal shavings and oil stains generated by construction machinery during use. When impurities reach between the working surfaces of the machine, they will destroy the lubricating oil film and scratch the mating surfaces.

The reduction of failure rate of mechanical equipment depends on daily maintenance and timely replacement of vulnerable parts of the excavator. I believe that doing this will definitely reduce the failure rate of the excavator, thereby preventing some delays caused by the failure.
